Baroness Dido Harding at the Policy Forum

Thursday 30 April 2026

18:00 – 19:00

Wren Library, Trinity College

Dido Harding’s career spans both the private sector and high-profile public service. After senior roles at companies including Tesco and Sainsbury’s, she became CEO of TalkTalk in 2010 and was created a life peer as the Baroness Harding of Winscome in 2014. In October 2017, she became Chair of NHS Improvement, then the body responsible for overseeing the performance, finances, and delivery of all NHS trusts and other health providers in England.

In May 2020, Baroness Harding was appointed Chair of NHS Test and Trace, the NHS programme overseeing testing and contact-tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though it significantly scaled up the UK’s testing and contact-tracing capacity, the programme has been criticised for its cost and effectiveness.

This event is free, informal, and open to all at the University of Cambridge. Please note that this is our final event of the year open to students outside Trinity.
